September 16, 2012 is National Back To Church Sunday in the USA. It is a promotion that involves thousands of churches from many denominations working together to encourage people who have dropped out of church to come back.
If you are considering coming “back to church” tomorrow, perhaps you would like to try out a different kind of church. The Salvation Army Berry Street Worship Center is a participatory church based on the open sharing of testimonies, prayers, Scriptures, words of encouragement, gifts of the Spirit, etc. — much like a support group. It is unprogrammed and Spirit-led.
Check it out on National Back To Church Sunday (or any Sunday) at 10:45 am. — 225 Berry St., Nashville, Tennessee 37207.
WHEN IS “NATIONAL GO TO CHURCH for the FIRST TIME” SUNDAY & “NATIONAL GET TO CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY” SUNDAY? JUST BECAUSE U ALWAYS OR USED TO ATTEND CHURCH DOESNOT MAKE U A CHRISTIAN! “WE” R THE CHURCH … WE ATTEND SERVICE(S)
I think you will have to start those two organizations, Elizabeth.
SURE THING! HOW DO I DO THAT?!
Perhaps you could start a facebook page.
