Tomorrow Is “National Back To Church Sunday”

September 16, 2012 is National Back To Church Sunday in the USA.  It is a promotion that involves thousands of churches from many denominations working together to encourage people who have dropped out of church to come back.

If you are considering coming “back to church” tomorrow, perhaps you would like to try out a different kind of church.  The Salvation Army Berry Street Worship Center is a participatory church based on the open sharing of testimonies, prayers, Scriptures, words of encouragement, gifts of the Spirit, etc. — much like a support group.  It is unprogrammed and Spirit-led.

Check it out on National Back To Church Sunday (or any Sunday) at 10:45 am. — 225 Berry St., Nashville, Tennessee 37207.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
