Cry Out Nashville was a prophetic event held in Cumberland Park, overlooking downtown Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday, September 15, 2012. Christ-followers gathered to worship God and to cry out for spiritual awakening and revival.  God is wanting believers in Nashville (and around the world) to passionately cry out to Him.

Unfortunately, crying out in a Sunday church service is not allowed in most churches.  It would be considered out-of-order, improper, or rebellious if an individual began to cry out during a church meeting. Still God wants to hear our passionate heart cry — even during church meetings.

If you are looking for a place where you are allowed and encouraged to cry out to God and to obey Him rather than the scheduled Sunday program, I invite you to visit The Salvation Army Berry Street at 225 Berry St., Nashville, 37207 at 10:45 am. on Sundays.  Our meetings have no agenda.  Each Sunday we are led in passionate adoration of God by a different worship leader.  

Then we encourage people to show and tell what God has done.  There is no sermon, but still the Word comes roaring forth as people share from their heart: Scriptures, testimonies, words of knowledge, passionate prayers, visions, words of encouragement, prayer requests, prophetic words, etc.  It is always amazing how God leads and personally puts together a beautiful time of encounter with Him.

Here’s a question:

If Jesus is really alive and present when we gather, why do we have a man lead the service?  Isn’t Jesus capable of leading a church meeting all by Himself?
