Hear ye! Hear ye! — A God Experiment (Based on 1 Samuel 3)
1) Tell God: “Speak Lord, for I am listening.”
2) Be still and quiet for at least 1 minute, and notice the thoughts, images, and/or impressions that come to your mind.
3) Write down what you hear (and share it in “comments” if you want).
(After typing the above words, I did the experiment . . The first thing that came to my mind was: “Do you really want me to speak to you?” I said: “Yes, I really do.” Then these words came to my mind: “Steve, be hopeful, for the best is yet to come.”)
(During the night I was tormented and grieving over several sad things I am going through. After hearing those words, I was a bit skeptical, but I decided to share them with you. However, my computer got stuck and the cursor wouldn’t move for a while. So I randomly opened up a book and saw these words: “Despondency is not a word allowed in our vocabulary.”)
“The LORD reigns! Let all the peoples tremble…..(Ps 99, read the rest).
Steve, you don’t know me, I’m involved with the SA in Lebanon, and they told me about your Sunday meetings. I came once while you were out of town, loved it. Keep pressing on, for He is with you.
