What can nothing do? Absolutely nothing!
If you capture some nothing in a science lab (creating a vacuum) can your sample of nothing do enough in a scientific lab to justify the belief of many modern “intellectuals” that nothing produced everything? Or will your sample of nothing simply hang around doing nothing.
So if nothing never makes (or does) anything, then the idea that nothing made everything is nothing but a myth, (even though it is frequently prompted by people with advanced degrees in science, but a seeming lack of logical thinking).
Since only nothing comes from nothing, if you think that you came from nothing, you will feel like you are nothing. That way of thinking is nothing but depressing and it’s nothing to play around with.
To feel like the incredible someone who you really are, you need to think that you were made by a good, loving, and great Maker. You deserve to feel amazingly special (there’s nothing like that feeling) and that’s a great reason to believe in God!
At The Salvation Army Berry Street we don’t put our trust in nothing. We trust in the Holy Spirit, let Him personally direct the meeting, and every week He does so many amazing somethings that we are all in awe!
Come and see the Spirit’s incredible somethings every Sunday at 10:45 am. — 225 Berry St., Nashville, Tennessee 37207. It will give you something to think about!
