Some Creative Church-Themes For Special Sundays
* Sermon Quiz Sunday (a quiz on the past 5 sermons).
* Scripture Sunday (everybody shares a favorite Bible verse).
* Physical Healing Sunday (people pray over each other to be healed).
* Confession & Repentance Sunday (people publicly confess & renounce their sins).
* Testimony Sunday (people testify about what God is doing in their life).
* Samuel Sunday (people listen to God & share what they hear — see 1 Samuel 3).
* Send The Fire Sunday (everybody cries out to God for spiritual awakening).
* Foot Washing Sunday (people wash each other’s feet).
* Encouragement Sunday (everybody compliments & encourages each other).
* Jesus Demonstration Sunday (click here for more about this one).
These themes are not fictional. We’ve experienced them all at The Salvation Army Berry Street (except for Foot Washing Sunday and Sermon Quiz Sunday). We gather each Sunday and let the Holy Spirit choose the theme as He prompts people to share. Every week it amazes us all that the open sharing is not random, but all flows together in a theme.
If you are in the Nashville, Tennessee area, come and experience this for yourself on Sunday mornings at 10:45 and/or Tuesday nights at 6:00 — 225 Berry Street, 37207.
