Are we in the business of busyness — running the rat race; keeping on the treadmill? Our culture seems to be built on the business of being busy. We spend a lot of money just to keep ourselves “busy” and unaware of the voice of God speaking in our heart. But why should we be so busy when we have everything we need?
For example, everything I’m looking for flows out of me. Love, joy, peace, contentment, satisfaction, fulfillment, self-worth, forgiveness, acceptance — it all just flows from deep within me.
–I never can find it “out there somewhere.” When I find it, it comes from inside of me.
–There are positive inner currents in you as well. However, if you don’t plug into them, you’ll never know they are there.
–Get still, listen to the inner voice. Connect once again with your conscience — with the wisdom seeking to guide you from inside you.
–Why be frustrated or miserable when all you have to do is uncap the wells and let them flow? Christ in you, flowing out as living water, is your hope to finally find what you’ve always wanted. Connect with Christ and be thrilled with tremendous transformation!
We’ve even turned church into a program filled with business. However, C.S. Lewis said: “The perfect church service would be one we were almost unaware of. Our attention would have been on God.”
—Participatory church is never “perfect” but it does place the attention on God’s presence and power working through plain people — not on the business of a program, a performance, a professional presentation, or a pastor’s preaching.
Leonard Ravenhill asked this question: “If you know a church on fire for God, tell me and I’ll go. A church where after you’ve gone in, you don’t come out the same, believing that God is there and you’ve been in His holy presence!”
–We know a church like that — it’s far from perfect, but it is participatory! It’s The Salvation Army Berry Street at 225 Berry St., Nashville, 37207 and meets on Sunday mornings @ 10:45. Come see!
