Does AA have something that churches need? Perhaps.
Why should AA have all the good participatory meetings?
–Alcoholics Anonymous has proven that meetings based on open sharing and participation are powerful tools that set people free! They just celebrated their International Convention and 80th anniversary July 2-5, 2015 in Atlanta with the theme: “80 Years – Happy, Joyous and Free”.
–So why should churches miss out on the power of open sharing? Perhaps we could allow people to experience the transformational energy of Spirit-led testimonies and confession during Sunday morning worship meetings.
1st Century Christ-followers were radiators not gladiators.
–They radiated the power and Presence of the living, resurrected Jesus Christ, spreading His contagion wherever they went. (Instead of fighting in an arena, they were busy lighting fires of spiritual awakening.)
When radiators (people who radiate the Presence of the living, resurrected Jesus Christ) gather together; the glory of God fills the place where they are. Are you a radiator?
Spiritual awakening happens when churches say no to religious show and open up worship meetings so that ordinary people are allowed to go with God’s inner flow! Shall we give it a go?
