Let’s move beyond sentimentalism to love!
If you’re impatient; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you’re unkind; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you’re envious; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you’re boast; it’s sentimentalism,not love.
If you’re proud; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you’re disrespectful; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you’re looking out for number one; it’s, sentimentalism, not love.
If you easily turn to anger; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you keep score; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you enjoy watching evil; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you’re not honest; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you don’t protect; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you don’t trust; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you’ve lost hope; it’s sentimentalism, not love.
If you give up on someone; it’s sentimentalism, not love.

The Bible puts it this way: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
