You Can’t Buy Christmas

So many people are motivated by a myth — trying desperately to purchase a Merry Christmas.  Unfortunately, this is a major misconception that we are taught by our popular culture.  Truth is — you can’t buy Christmas.

You can buy strings of lights and plastic trees to decorate, but you can’t buy Christmas.

You can purchase piles of pretty packages, but you can’t buy Christmas.

You can throw a mighty special party and a have the best Christmas feast ever, but you can’t buy Christmas.

You can order lots of expensive gifts for family members and friends and clients, but you can’t buy Christmas.

You can go on ebay and find the most unusual and exciting Christmas decorations ever made and then put them in your yard for all to see, but you can’t by Christmas.

You can spend tens of thousands of dollars on a car to give to a loved one, but you can’t buy Christmas.

You can take your plastic cards and load ’em to the limit, but you still can’t buy Christmas.

Christmas is beyond cash or credit. It is tidings of great joy

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
