A choir is more than only one person singing. Perhaps a church service should be more than only one person speaking. (See 1 Corinthians 14:26)

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!

  1. Paul Dames's avatar Paul Dames says:

In a certain sense we are all trying to get to one another. Swimming through the religious teachings of our past, trying to filter our thinking into a better understanding of God, ourselves, and how we are best to relate. It’s not easy because we are not all Greek and Hebrew scholars, neither did we walk with Jesus and the early apostles. Learning to sing in a choir together requires certain sacrifices, both from the singers and their conductors. But if you love the music, none will be perceived as sacrifice.
