Just Like A Body — 1 Corinthians 12

Just Like A Body — 1 Corinthians 12

by Steve & Ernie Simms

Just like a body
Is made of many parts
The body of Christ
Is made of many hearts;
And when hearts open,
The Spirit starts to flow;
As we all obey,
The gifts begin to show.

(Chorus)
Wisdom and faith,
Insight and healing
Flow from the people
God’s love revealing.
Signs and wonders
To our hearts appealing,
Miracles are
More than a feeling!

So we follow Him
Learning to go His way.
We grow together
As we worship and pray,
Flowing as one,
Each indispensable,
Making our God
So Comprehensible.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
