Nashville Sounds in Participatory Church

Participatory church presents the profundity and wisdom of ordinary people as they show and tell what God is doing in their lives.  Here are some Nashville sounds from an organic church in Nashville — The Salvation Army Berry Street Worship Center in Nashville, TN:

The Sound of Music:  Every week we have a different person lead us in passionate worship of God.

The Sound of Sharing:  Instead of listening to one man preach every Sunday, ordinary people share from the heart about the things that God is doing in them.

The Sounds of Silence:  We often experience the holy hush of awe and amazement at what God does among us.

The Sound of God’s Voice:  “And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps.” –Revelation 14:2

If a hand can’t make a puppet obey its directions, because it’s hard and brittle, there will be no puppet show.  If the Holy Spirit can’t make a person obey His direction, because she or he is unwilling to follow, there will be no release of spiritual life.

Experiences these Nashville sounds with us on Sunday mornings @ 10:45 & Tuesday nights @ 6:00 — 225 Berry St., 37207.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
