When The Game Stands Tall moved me.  It is about the team with the longest winning streak in sports history, De La Salle High School in Concord, California — 151 games.

When The Game Stands Tall shows how a coach built a football team on caring relationships. The movie visibly demonstrates the amazing power of sharing from the heart to heal and to transform individuals into passionate and powerful people.

As coach Bob Ladouceur (played by Jim Caviezel) says, this movie “made my heart swell.”  There is so much potential in heart-felt sharing and caring.  However, as a society, we tend to reject openness, humility, putting others first, and vulnerability (outside of support groups).  That may explain why this movie received bad reviews.  But don’t let the reviewers hold you back.  Go see it!
