One Good Quote Deserves Another (Moving From Human Control To The Spirit’s Control)

Seeing this quote on Facebook & Twitter:

“When leaders put control into the hands of their people, at all levels, they unlock incalculable potential.” – Dennis Bakke

Inspired me to write this:

When pastors put control into the hands of the Holy Spirit at the level of allowing anybody present on Sunday morning to share from his/her heart as prompted by the Spirit; they unlock God’s infinite potential in their midst.

Perhaps church isn’t about hearing what the preacher says or doing what “Simon says” — but about ordinary people hearing and doing what the Spirit says. (“He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.”)

Let the Holy Spirit be the Decision Maker!

Let the Holy Spirit be the Decision Maker!

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
