Mutual Ministry — Church On Fire

2 ways 2 do church . . . 1) Professional parson / 2) Mutual ministry:

1) A professional parson preaches to passive persons.

2) A group of people listens to, serves, and ministers to one another.

mutual ministry

When a church freely allows ordinary people to show and tell what God has done, it catches on fire!

There is safety & spiritual power in numbers — and in loving mutuality.
–When your faith is nurtured on only one man’s preaching, it’s like hanging off a cliff by a single string.
–When your faith is nurtured on mutual ministry in the family of Christ (one anothering), many relational strings become a net and catch you when you stumble or fall!

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
