+ A church service should be one of life’s great adventures — being astonished as the living Jesus Christ works in and through the members of His body as they openly demonstrate the culture of Heaven. Can we step beyond the sound of sermons and into sensitivity 2 the Spirit?
When we gather to worship, let’s enter into direct interaction with the living Christ and leave entertainment behind. The greatest difference between Christianity and other religions is Christianity’s living Head — the resurrected Jesus Christ. Perhaps church should offer people more than a mere message by allowing the living Jesus to manifest and demonstrate His presence in our gatherings!
“The average sermon is a waste of time. It goes in one ear and out the other . . . The only hope is for a spirit of expectation in our services. We must come expecting God to speak. We must come willing to obey what God says. We must lay aside our distractions and focus on being disciples.” –Michael Catt
–You can expect something alive, interactive, and different at The Salvation Army Berry Street, where instead of a 1-man sermon, ordinary people show and tell what God has done — Sunday mornings at 10:45 — 225 Berry St., Nashville, 37207.
