I believe that the living, resurrected Jesus is communicating to those who are willing to hear and obey Him. My brother, Scott Simms, took this picture of double rainbows that we saw in front of his house near Cripple Creek, Colorado in May, 2015.. He has this pic as his Facebook cover picture. I just noticed something amazing. I see Jesus in the picture. His image is on the rock formation under the second rainbow, just to the left of the red color. Can you see Him? Why does Jesus want to get our attention? Because Christianity is God’s call to come under the control of the living, resurrected Jesus Christ — to make Jesus our Lord! How many answer that call? G.K. Chesterton put it like this: ‘The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult; and left untried.”
Who or what is your “Lord”?
A “Lord” is someone or something having power, authority, or control over others; a master or ruler. Whatever controls you, whatever you obey — a compulsion, a desire, popular opinion, a fear, a belief system, a person, an addiction, a worry, an obsession, an orientation, a religious tradition, a feeling — is your “Lord.”
–To be a Christian is to be a Christ-follower. It is to make the living, resurrected Jesus Christ your Lord, your absolute Ruler, not just with words, but with radical, daily obedience to Him. Does your lifestyle say to Jesus, “My Lord and my God!”?
