Spiritual Gusher Or Spiritual Stopper

Are you a spiritual gusher or a Spirit stopper?  Perhaps these thoughts, based on the words of an ancient prophet, can help you answer that question.  (See Isaiah, chapter 35.)

When God gushes forth from the depths of the human heart, life bursts into bloom.  spiritually blind eyes see the splendor of the Lord; deaf ears hear God’s voice.  People celebrate greatly and shout for joy!

Be strong.  Don’t be afraid.  God’s gushing glory, gladness, and joy will overtake us, if we but remove the Spirit quenching stoppers from our heart, from our life, and from our church meetings.

How do you know if there is a Spirit stopper in place?  If God is not actively gushing through your life . . . stoppers are in place.  Pull them out and let God gush!

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
