People grow when they go into positive action. If they sit still too long, they atrophy.
The way to grow spiritually is to go with God’s flow — to hear and do what the Spirit of God says to you. Be courageous. Obey the still, small voice of God speaking intuitively in your conscience.
Take the time to listen to God and do what He says. The results will be amazing — supernatural. You will be in awe at the outcome.
One of the main purposes of church is discipleship — helping people grow strong in the Lord. For that to happen, people must have the opportunity to respond to God when the church gathers.
If we make them sit and watch a program presented according to human agendas, they will be passive and bored. If we lovingly challenge them to listen to the Spirit and do what He says, and then give them the freedom to obey whatever God tells them to do in church meetings, spiritual life breaks out.
This isn’t just a theory. It’s happening in Nashville at 225 Berry Street, every Sunday morning at 10:45 am. and Thursday night at 6:30. Come and see God doing mighty things through ordinary people. Before you know it, God will work through you in ways you never thought possible.
READ YOUR BIBLE, PRAY EVERY DAY AND YOU’LL GROW, GROW, GROW … NEGLECT YOUR BIBLE, FORGET TO PRAY AND YOU’LL SHRINK, SHRINK, SHRINK…
