Begin 2013 by busting out of your boredom box; rerouting the routine of your rut; surpassing the same ole, same ole!
Do something new and different for the kingdom of God today. No need to repeat what isn’t working. Step out and do the thing that God has been prompting you to do, even if you are afraid of looking foolish.
“Obedience is better than sacrifice.” “The world for God” begins with your simple obedience to do what God is telling you. One small step of obedience to Jesus, even if done in fear and trembling, can start a movement. Christ put it this way: “Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me.”
Here’s “a quotation from Catherine Booth, cofounder of The Salvation Army. I want the world to be saved. I don’t care how it is done. My heart is set on the Kingdom, and I don’t care how it is propagated”.
The world won’t be reached by routine religion. We need something more — the power and presence of the living, resurrected Jesus Christ. We need the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Eradicate your rut. If you want to move beyond the bars of your box, come and experience unprogrammed church at The Salvation Army Berry Street, 225 Berry St., Nashville, TN 37207 on Sundays at 10:45 am.
