Religious surge protectors can suppress (quench) the flowing of the Holy Spirit both in churches and in individuals. Paul of Tarsus put it this way: “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, from such turn away.”
A fresh, new Pentecost can override our religious surge protectors and release the Spirit-flows that Jesus promised in John 17:38-39: “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”
Everyday is a good day to let God break down any dams that hold back the free flowing of the Holy Spirit and to let God’s rivers run rigorously and unrestricted.
