What does this Bible verse (Hebrews 12:29) mean? “For our God is a consuming fire.”

Perhaps this: Unless there is a fire in your heart consuming self-focus and releasing a continual, all-consuming craving for Christ, you’ve stopped short of finding God.
God’s not looking for you to tolerate Him as one part of your busy life. He’s looking for you to surrender 100% of your life to Him. Nothing less will do.
William Booth, co-founder of The Salvation Army, put it this way:
“The greatness of the man’s power is the measure of his surrender.”

About Steve Simms
I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
Hi Steve,
I like the Consuming Fire poster! Wow! May I have your permission to use this image as the basis of a poster for a conference on revival at our church here in London, Ontario?
Regards in Christ,
