A fire started at this site in 1916 that left 3,000 people in East Nashville homeless. Every time I am by here I pray that God will send His supernatural fire to East Nashville and so impact the lives of 3,000 people that they will no longer see earth as their home, but burn for the rest of their lives with passion for the living, resurrected Jesus Christ!
The flag in the pictures is The Salvation Army Flag. The red represents the blood of Jesus; the yellow stands for the fire of the Holy Spirit; and the blue represents a lifestyle of daily following and obeying Jesus.
The second picture is of a place where we are seeking God’s spiritual fire, The Salvation Army Berry Street at 225 Berry Street in Nashville (37207) in the McFerrin Park Neighborhood. We gather there every Sunday morning and instead of meeting around a one-man sermon, we allow ordinary people to share what God puts on their heart. We pray for one another and for a mighty out pouring of God’s Spirit on our city. We meet on Sundays at 10:45 am. and Tuesdays at 6:00 pm. Come and cry out to God with us!
Revival is coming like a heard of buffaloes (as well as a tsunami of the Spirit) and we need to get out on the streets and boldly proclaim the Blood, Fire, and Christ-like lifestyle that we are all called to! (This last pic is of one of the buffalo statues across from The Salvation Army Nashville Area Command on Dickerson Road in East Nashville, where a herd of buffaloes is headed toward downtown, like the spiritual awakening coming to our city!)
