Revival Needs New Wineskins!

Is it time for new wineskins?
“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.” –Luke 5:37-38

The coming revival needs new wine skins!
–The traditional way of religious meetings will wear the coming revival down and cut it off. Spiritual awakening won’t last long if we don’t begin to step into a new wine skin.
–God is calling us out of the ordinary into His extraordinary — out of one man control of church meetings and into Spirit-prompted participation — away from dominant human headship and into the supernatural Headship of the living, resurrected Jesus Christ.
–It is not just about church meetings, but how we do meetings will either quench the Spirit or stir up the Spirit. A stirred up Holy Spirit can’t be maintained under human control — can’t be programmed and regulated! Only a quenched Holy Spirit will fit nicely into our programming and control.
–Revival won’t long continue if we organize it, control it, regulate it, and center it around human personalities.

Experience a participatory new wine skin at The Salvation Army Berry Street, 225 Berry St., Nashville, Tennessee, 37207 every Sunday morning @ 10:45.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @
