“Do you believe?”
Do we believe in the resurrection (in Easter) enough to set aside our agendas, control, and programming, and allow the living Jesus to personally lead and direct a church service?
Since Easter declares that Jesus is alive and present in the 21st Century, what are you learning from Him? (Not from the pastor or TV preacher, but what is Jesus, Himself, teaching you today?”)
–“Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.” –Matthew 11:29
–Changing some Jesus Culture lyrics 4 pastors:
New Lyrics: “I don’t want to lead a church service like You’re not in the room. I want to let You lead it. I want to give it to You!.”
(Original Lyrics: “I don’t want to talk about You like you’re not in the room. I want to look right at You. I want to talk right to You.”)
So do you (really) believe in the resurrection? Where are you on this faith assessment scale from 1 to 5?
5 — I continually connect with the living Jesus and follow & obey Him daily.
4 — I have personally encountered the living, resurrected Jesus.
3 — I have examined the evidence and am convinced Jesus is alive.
2 — The Bible says Jesus rose so I believe it.
1 — I’ve heard about Easter all my life, so, sure, I believe.
