Easter Exclaims!
Jesus rose in an instant — suddenly alive again at a moment in time!
–Now He lives forever and He’s available everywhere on earth.
–Do we daily access His presence and His power, or do we rely on our own effort. our own intelligence, our own programming, our own traditions, our own religiosity?
The goal of a ministry should be to focus people’s attention on one person’s personality, talents, and image, while everybody else is humbly hidden away.
–However, as it is in most ministries, perhaps that one person should not be a mere human being, but the living, resurrected Jesus Christ.
–This Easter, perhaps we should take our attention off of men and put it on the living, ever-present Jesus!
What would happen if the goal of a church service was to allow people to interact with the living, resurrected Jesus — to listen to Jesus and then say and do what He tells them to in the meeting?
Goofy stuff? Shallow stuff? Bad theology? Inappropriate stuff?
–No! None of that comes out at Berry Street, because people perceive the presence of the living, resurrected Christ and they only share what He prompts them to! It’s amazing!
–Come see Easter Sunday @ The Salvation Army Berry Street, 10:45, 225 Berry St., Nashville 37207.
The Gospel doesn’t do much for those who shred it like bar-b-que; but it transforms the lives of those who gaze into it like they are looking at a great masterpiece painting. The Gospel is not for intellectual analysis; it’s for heart-felt awe that comes from being centered on and captivated by Christ!
