When the members of the body of Christ are allowed to openly use their gifts, they inspire me. Here’s an example:
–Fred Major lets us hang his original painting at The Salvation Army Berry Street. I look at it frequently and it inspires me to keep believing God for revival in Middle Tennessee! Thanks, Fred! Check out Fred Major Galleries.
–The painting pictures God’s fire on the Nashville skyline and God’s fire surrounding the Ryman Auditorium. It symbolizes the plan God had for Nashville when the Union Gospel Tabernacle was built (before it was called the Ryman) as a revival center. I believe God’s plan was to send spiritual awakening to and through Nashville and for it to go around the world. I believe that is still God’s plan for Nashville!
–To fulfill God’s purposes for Middle Tennessee, every Christ-follower here needs to faithfully use her/his gifts as we daily follow and obey the living, resurrected Jesus Christ!

Jesus said:
* “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.” –Matthew 10:27
* “Tell it to the ekklesia (church).” –Matthew 18:17
–How can we get the courage to “proclaim from the roofs” if we are not allowed to speak out in ekklesia (church)?

–When you take what God has “whispered in your ear” and share it with others, that releases the power of personal testimony. If you’ve seen the movie, War Room, you’ve been touched by the power of testimony. Seeing God work in the character’s lives is deeply moving.
–Think with me. If fictional testimonies from a movie can be so powerful; how much more power is there in the real life testimonies of ordinary Christ-followers? This great power of testimony needs to be released. Perhaps its time for churches to begin to allow everyday people to show and tell what God has done! Now is the time for people to hear real life testimonies!
