“Thou shall not kill?”

thou shall not kill
How many massacres
Are too many?
We took the words
“Thou shall not kill,”
Out of our schools.
Now we are terrorized
By home grown trauma;
Random mass killings,
Frequent and common.
Lord, help us!
The value of 1 human life exceeds the GDP of all the nations in the world! Why?
–Every human life is made in the image of the living God. Even when we distort His image by embracing evil thoughts and behaviors, something designed and made to be like God still resides in our soul. Every human, no matter how twisted and marred God’s image may be in his/her soul, has the potential to be transformed into a radiant person full of holiness and light! (Saul of Tarsus is was a great example of this:https://stevesimms.wordpress.com/…/a-terrorist-who-was-tra…/)

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @ http://amzn.to/2nCr5dP
