Sometimes it’s not enough to be Built Ford Tough. We need to be Built Jesus Tough!
Ekklesia: Jesus builds it rock-solid! It’s being built on the Rock that never rolls — set in stone — Built Jesus Tough!
Religious foundations wobble. Pastors can hurt you and let you down. Sermons sometimes disappoint (or bore) you. Church programs occasionally flop. Church members may even offend you.
Church is based on a one-man performance — the presentation of a sermon. However, ekklesia is built on open, Spirit-prompted sharing — the rock of personal revelation coming directly from the living, resurrected Jesus Christ — people gathered to hear Jesus speak in their heart and then openly say and do what He tells them to.
–“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24)

–“On this rock I will build my ekklesia and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” –Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:18)
–“They drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.” (1 Corinthians 10:4)
–“Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.” (Psalm 71:3)
–“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.” (Psalm 18:2)
–“Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears My words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” (Luke 6:47-49)
