When God steps out into the open

People can hide from God in church, however, ekklesia brings God out into the open. Ekklesia is an adventure of the spiritual kind. It’s never the same, always exciting, and deeply moving. If you need some excitement in your life, you need to experience ekklesia!

got ekklesia? Sometimes you gotta go beyond church to get the best blessings! Beyond your past and beyond church, God has a great purpose for you!

“There is plenty of room at the top because very few people care to travel beyond the average route. And so most of us seem satisfied to remain within the confines of mediocrity.” –Nnamdi Azikiwe

“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson

“If you do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” –Albert Einstein

Unless you go beyond church as you have known it, you may miss much of what God has for you.

“God wants us to risk our faith, see beyond ourselves, and expect the unexpected.” –David L. McKenna, President Emeritus of Asbury Theological Seminary

* Step out in risky faith. * Get beyond yourself. * Experience the unprogrammed and the unexpected in ekklesia!

Here are two ways to learn more about ekklesia:

  1. Read the book Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible–Ekklesia available available at this link.
  2. Visit The Salvation Army Berry Street, 225 Berry St., Nashville, TN 37207 on Sunday mornings at 10:45 am., where ordinary people show and tell what God has done as they are prompted by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
