It’s hard to understand other people’s perspective when we have callouses on our heart. Open, caring interaction and sharing in a gathering of Christ-followers is spiritually revolutionary, but formal religion avoids it.
Laity is a lie. There is no laity. Christians are a “royal priesthood” (all clergy).
Jesus said “shout it from the housetops.” Church says it’s better to “silently hear it while sitting through Sunday sermons.”
People’s character is as important as their beliefs. Integrity matters. It’s dangerous to support bad character. Your faith might be a mirage if you’re not growing closer and more obedient to the risen Jesus. If anything causes you to stumble in your relationship with Jesus quickly get away from it. (Matthew 18:6-9.)
To gag Christians and require their silence in church is to train them to be silent about their faith when church is over. Jesus warned His disciples to “be on your guard against” the teaching of religious leaders. (Matthew 16:11-12.)
Jesus said: “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault (according to the process in Matthew 18:15-17).”
