Going beyond misperception is the key to kindness

Misperception produces deception. Humble reception of truth gives clear perception.

To overcome violence in society we must silence hostility and replace it with a culture of kindness and respect for all human life.

Both accusations and denials of racism miss the point. America needs healing for its foundations that were built on racial hierarchy.

Who’s a racist? Perhaps it’s time to humbly admit that we’ve all made at least one race-based evaluation or comment in our life.

Disrespecting prenatal human life undermines and erodes the very concept of “rights.” Prenatal violence (though done in secret and unreported by media) is still violence.

To segregate the unborn from the rest of humanity by declaring them less than human is unjust. The voiceless in the womb are defenseless and die a violent death at the decision of another.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @ http://amzn.to/2nCr5dP
