Inner Christianity as taught by the Bible

Inner Christianity
As taught by the Bible:
Christ in you,
Inner rivers of living water,
The kingdom of God
Is within you,
Being led by the Spirit,
The Holy Spirit who lives in us,
Having the mind of Christ,
Live by the Spirit,
The eyes of your heart enlightened,
Until Christ be formed in you,
Revelation by the Spirit,
Being taught by God,
You do not need anyone to teach you,
The Spirit bearing witness
With our spirit,
I will put My laws in their hearts,
Written on tablets of human hearts,
Love one another deeply from the heart,
The still, small voice,
Praying in the Spirit,
Words taught by the Spirit,
The fruit of the Spirit,
The gifts of the Spirit,
Dreams and visions,
God's Word working in you,
Do not quench the Spirit,
May the Lord direct your hearts.

Reading the Bible with an open heart leads to experiencing God like the Bible writers experienced Him. Christianity begins within. Without inner Christianity, outward religion is powerless.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
