War’s “rat-a-tat-tat”

All’s unfair in warfare.
Here’s the deal.
It all depends on people
Obeying orders to kill.

Combat is
Competitive
Cruelty.
Bombardment is
Merciless
Blasting.

War is hating
And killing people
Based on their nationality.
It's compassionless
Irrationality.

War is portrayed
As kill or be killed,
But it's really more
Tit for tat than that.
Rat-a-tat-tat!
It's kill AND be killed.
War dead killed, too.

War is for killers!
It tramples
Jesus' words:
"Love your enemies."

War is
MASSIVE,
Post-birth
Abortion!

Nonviolent resistance
Is no guarantee
You'll survive
A hostile conflict.
Neither is violence.

To opt-out
On seeing truth
Isn't a wise option.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
