Without wisdom and discernment,
Devices that stream
Media and entertainment
Are turned into altars
Of time-devouring devotion.
Then they alter our life
With their seduction
And demeaning content.
Here’s popular media deception: Calling abortion reproductive health care and reproductive rights. Abortion aborts reproduction by destroying a prenatal life. There’s nothing reproductive about it.

About Steve Simms
I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
One question: if abortion wasn’t a major issue for evangelicals at the time of Roe v. Wade (The president of THE SBC welcomed it as a balanced decision!), why is it a categorical black-and-white issue now? Search the history of the Religious Right for the answer.
Thanks for your comment and question. My reference to abortion in this post isn’t about the ethics of abortion or Roe v. Wade or the recent SCOTUS decision, but about the media’s misuse of the word “reproductive” when they talk about “reproductive rights” and “reproductive health care.” Abortion interrupts the reproduction that began at conception and destroys the developing life. Therefore, it isn’t “reproductive” at all.
