What Is More Important Than Voting?

What is more important than voting?  There is no debate that many things are more important than casting your vote:  Honesty.  Kindness.  Decency.  Forgiveness.  A pure heart.  Compassion.  Fairness.  Thinking, talking, and acting according to righteousness.  Love.  Integrity.  Personal faith in and obedience to the Creator.

Whether or not you consistently follow and obey Jesus in your daily life is much more important that how (or if) you vote!

Casting your vote may be important, but . . .
Casting our your demons and
Casting your cares on the Lord,
Are much more important!

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!

As a Christian we are obligated to be kind, considerate, loving, etc., etc., but as Americans, we ought to be equally obligated to vote. As Christians, we base our responses on what we are taught in the Bible. Likewise, Americans ought to revere our Constitution that begins with these words – in BOLD print, “We, the people…” That is you and me and everyone who claims to be an American.

well said!! If each person really followed these principles it wouldn’t matter in a election year who’s a republican, who’s a democrat because you know there would be honesty, and decency to really help our nation. Sad thing is today we are so far away from any principles, I just pray that the collective whole see’s this and with a awakened spirit cry’s out that we really need ” More of Jesus!”
