Christianity is the current of the living, resurrected Jesus Christ flowing through His people. It’s not religion, ritual, doctrine, or tradition.
Church is living Christianity operating among human beings. The living Christ cannot be controlled and contained but cruises through His people like an electric current; unless we break the connection and quench the Spirit. Church is like a group of people all holding on to a live electric wire.
Therefore, Christianity is current events — events produced by the current of Jesus Christ flowing from within His people. When there is no Christ current, there is no Christianity (or church).
Christianity carries the Spirit’s current; church is not a showcase for religious programming but a demonstration of the living Christ working among real people. It is radical obedience to Jesus, not passively listening to a message about Him.
Is the living current of Christ flowing in and through you or do you have a dead battery under your hood? “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

I like that, Steve. Gives me something to think about! As I read it I felt that current flowing through me and it is awesome. I LOVE IT!
He will be flowing through you, strengthening you, and comforting you, no matter what you face.
