Pentecost — let’s not just talk about, let’s experience it! We need Pentecost to be more than a distant, religious memory. We desperately need it to be a present, ongoing reality in our individual lives and in our churches!
Pentecost is a Holy Spirit takeover of a church meeting that overrides human programming and fills Christ-followers with supernatural power, sending them out of the building with contagious fire in their hearts that spreads far and wide, turning multitudes of new people into life-long, passionate, obedient followers of the living, resurrected Jesus Christ!
If there is ever a time to step beyond human programming and to do what the Holy Spirit tells you to do in a church meeting, it’s Pentecost Sunday! Your willingness to obey the prompting of the Spirit in your church today might just be the spark that releases the fire of Pentecost. “Quench not the Spirit.”
“On this Pentecost Sunday, I pray that there will be a great moving of God’s Spirit among His people around the world.” –General André Cox (international leader of The Salvation Army) Let it be God! How we need it in the 21st Century!
