Maybe church meetings could set aside the program for a while and give people the freedom to obey this Scripture:
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” –James the brother of the Lord (James 5:16)
Perhaps a church meeting should allow the Holy Spirit to work and/or speak through anybody present:
“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” –Paul of Tarsus (1 Corinthians 12:7)
Perhaps church meetings should let Jesus’ water well up like an internal spring inside all of Christ’s followers and allow them to overflow on the congregation through testimonies, Scriptures, praises, prophetic words, short teachings, confessions, prayers, etc.
“The water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” -Jesus (John 4:14)
Maybe everybody should be allowed to speak, as enabled by the Spirit, in a church meeting.
“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak . . . as the Spirit enabled them.” –Dr. Luke (Acts 2:4)
