Joy Wells or Sad Trails (got God’s glory gushings rushing through U?)

Joy Wells or Sad Trails

Jesus said that His followers,
Would experience ongoing
“Rivers of living water,”
(Flows of His own spiritual life)
God’s glory gushers,
Pouring out from deep within us
No matter what’s going on
Around us.
But we’ve been culturally trained
To cap those wells
And let our circumstances,
Cut off His flows.
And so it goes —
Sad people with capped joy wells,
We struggle to cope,
When all we need
For radiant hope
Is waiting to be released
From within us.

rivers of living water flow

got God’s glory gushings rushing through U?

Go with God’s flow!

R U
Captured & conformed by the clamor & commotion of the culture?
Or shaped by the still, small voice of the Spirit?

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
