Will We Let Jesus Rise In Our Lives & In Our Churches?

A question for the day after Good Friday: Will we allow Jesus to rise in our lives and in our churches? Let Jesus rise! Don’t keep Him shut up in the tomb of tradition! Let Easter happen in you and in your church!
–Let Jesus rise and take 24/7/365 control of your life!
–Let Jesus roll away the stone of formal religion and take control of your church meetings
That’s what the Resurrection is all about — allowing the living Jesus to take the wheel!

Are you bad enough to need Good Friday? Good people have no need for Good Friday. Only people bad enough to deserve God’s judgment need Christ’s sacrifice and forgiveness.
R U bad enough? (I am!)

Because of Good Friday we can come into the light and be open and honest. Christ has paid for our wrong doing. If you truly believe that, you no longer feel the need to cover up and be dishonest — no urge to lie.

However, if you don’t believe that Christ’s sacrifice paid for your sins, you will keep on hiding them. You may play with religion, but you won’t allow the living Christ to rise in and take over your life. Do you believe?

The Lord has laid on Him

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
