Happy Resurrection Day! Christ the Lord is risen today (not just on a spring holiday with a funny name).

Everyday people can experience Easter every time they meet to worship the living, resurrected Jesus. It’s called ekkesia — http://amzn.to/1U0U73r. Jesus promised to be present whenever two or three of His followers get together in His name.
Would you rather hear someone preach a sermon about the benefits of this year’s NCAA Tournament or would you rather watch it for yourself? Then why settle for an Easter sermon when you can listen to the risen Jesus for yourself?
Easter and March Madness — it’s not enough to hear a nice talk about them. You need to personally experience them! Jesus is not risen 1 day per year — He’s risen 24/7/366 this year!
If we would put as much trust, passion, and commitment in the living, risen Jesus as we do in sporting events and political candidates, we would see our lives, our families, and our communities transformed!
Perhaps it is time to go beyond Holy Week to wholly weak. Holy Week takes a healthy and inspirational look back at the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, however, being wholly weak opens us up to personally experience the risen Christ today! When you are wholly week, the living Jesus can be strong in and through you. Perhaps instead of trying to hide and/or avoid our weakness, we should embrace it and allow it to drive us to the feet of Jesus. Apostle Paul said: “Where I am weak I am strong.” Will you humble yourself, acknowledge your weakness, surrender your life to Jesus’ presence, and daily follow and obey His voice? If so, you will have a happy Resurrection Day every day!
