21st century proverbs: “So many words, so little love language.”

So many words; so little love language.

Hope = Having Ongoing Positive Expectations.

Emotional pain’s an alarm letting you know that you’re ignoring faith, hope, & love.

Greatness & meanness are opposites.

Combativeness creates defensiveness & disunity.

As an alternative to hostility, facts can be presented with humility & compassion.

Emotional pain’s a warning that you’re eyes are on self instead of on others.

To resist temptation, tie a “not” and hold on to God!

Anybody can give in to temptation. To resist & overcome it takes faith & courage.

When you feel like being unkind, procrastinate.

You can’t impose faith on people. It must be birthed from within. Has a fresh, new life been birthed in your heart?

The body of Christ is called to meet as a family, not as a formality.

As 1 jigsaw puzzle piece needs the others, even so Christ-followers need each other.

No single Christ-follower fully represents Christ. All have some of Christ to share.

Don’t take the left side or right side of history, but God’s side – His story.

The best sports events on earth pale in comparison to experiencing God’s presence.

The “real news” is ignored by the media & that is that Jesus is living & present!

We’re all equal before God–equally guilty as lawbreakers.

You can never do enough; but Jesus has done more than enough. Login to His work.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @ http://amzn.to/2nCr5dP
