My Favorite “Album”

Daily writing prompt
What’s your all-time favorite album?

One definition of album is “a blank book for holding a collection of items.” I fill up the album of my memory with the things that I have heard the risen Jesus say and the things that I have seen Him do. One of the ways that I do that is by daily writing and posting those things on my blog (and on Facebook and X). They have become my all-time favorite album.

This is what I heard in my heart this morning:

I’m a Jesus-writer.
I love writing for Jesus.
I want to write for Jesus
All the days of my life.
I listen with my heart.
And some thoughts come from Christ.
Then I use the Bible
So I can verify them.
His sheep hear His voice.
And I write what He says.
I love hearing from Jesus.
I want to hear from Jesus.
All the days of my life!

If you will keep God’s insights in your sight, hope will never be out of sight. The devil is the accuser and he’s good at his job. He doesn’t need you to help him out. Be kind! Keep hope alive.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!

That’s beautiful. I love how you describe your writing as a way to capture the voice of Jesus in your life. It’s such a powerful practice to listen and record those thoughts.
