””What do you think of God,” the teacher asked. After a pause, the young pupil replied, ‘He’s not a think, he’s a feel.'” ~Paul Frost
A God you can powerfully feel will fill your faith with holy fire and excitement and transform your life.
But where can you strongly feel God? Does God feel powerfully present in most church services? Is His presence so real that it makes you tremble, tremble tremble? Do you feel a touch of the Holy Spirit that moves you deeply? Are you stirred to a mighty sense of awe? Is your heart set on fire? Do tears of amazement flow?
It is important that we feel God. Intellectual teaching and analysis about God is not powerful enough to carry us triumphantly through the week. We need God’s gusto gushing through our gut — the rivers of living water that Jesus promised us.
There is a place in Nashville where you can mightily feel God. It is a humble place in East Nashville were a group of people gather, not to have a church service, but to let God work — to allow the Holy Spirit to freely direct, guide, and move them.
What happens there each Sunday morning is beyond my ability to describe. Hearts are opened. Spiritually blind eyes see. Depression and oppression are broken. Lives are changed in front of your eyes. And a room full of folks feel God.
It is truly amazing. It is something you really should experience.
Sundays 10:45am — 225 Berry Street — Nashville — 37207. Visit The Salvation Army Berry Street Worship Center.
