Why all the fuss and effort to celebrate the Christmas season? You know. The most celebrated day of the year is about the arrival of Jesus Christ on planet Earth. Isn’t it amazing all the time, effort, and money that is spent to celebrate Jesus? Why do we celebrate Jesus so?

Hope: Jesus gives hundreds of millions of people hope that there is more to life than random, meaningless existence. He inspires us to believe that there is a God who loves us as individuals — a God who is eager for us to respond to His love and like the rebellious and runaway son, return to Him.

Freedom: People around the world have been set free from self-destructive behaviors by Jesus and empowered to live a life of love, self-sacrifice, and morality. Their transformation shows us all what Jesus can do in a human life.

An inner witness: Something inside the human heart testifies that Jesus’ life and birth is more than that of a mere human being. His life moves so many of us to the depths of our being — stirs in us an inner passion to know and faithfully serve Him. Even when we try to deny the truths about Jesus, there is an inner witness that calls us back to Him.

Presence: Jesus cannot be confined to history and religion. He steps out of ritual and tradition into present reality. So many people in our world have personally encountered Jesus Christ alive and working in our time.
