Bud’s Boldly Chasing Manning, But As For Me . . .

Observing the media circus of Bud Adams & the Tennessee Titans in hot pursuit of Peyton Manning makes me wonder . . . What would it be like if a group of people in Nashville began to publicly pursue Jesus Christ with the same passion, commitment, money, effort & determination?

Bud Adams may say:  “I want Manning.  I am ready to do what it takes to get him aboard.”  But as for me:  I want Jesus.  I am ready to do what it takes to get and maintain His Presence and power in my life!”

Boldly chasing Manning may win the Super Bowl for Bud (or it may backfire).  However, boldly chasing Jesus can do so much more — break every chain, set the captives free, and change the world.

Football’s fun, but faith is forever!

Experience the passionate pursuit of Jesus at The Salvation Army Berry Street Worship Center.  Come, chase Christ with a group of people who want Him like Bud Adams wants Manning:  Thursday nights @ 6:30 & Sunday mornings @ 10:45; 225 Berry St., Nashville, 37207.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
