An Opportunity To Make A Real Difference In Nashville

Would you like to make a real difference in Nashville?  The Salvation Army has a unique ministry in East Nashville that is changing lives and helping to transform the urban neighborhood of McFerrin Park.

At The Salvation Army Berry Street Worship Center we are seeing people who have struggled with long-term unemployment get and hold jobs.  We have seen several people set free from drug and/or alcohol addiction.  Crime and violence in the neighborhood has dropped drastically.

Read more about it at this link:  Be Part Of Changing Lives & Transforming A Neighborhood In Nashville.

If you would like to help support this Christ-centered, non-traditional outreach, it would be greatly appreciated.  Just send a check to made out to “The Salvation Army” to:  The Salvation Army Berry Street Worship Center, 225 Berry St., Nashville, TN   37207.

Also we would love for you to come and experience this multi-racial, missional community for yourself:  Participatory worship gathering on Sunday mornings @ 10:45 — Spirit-led prayer meeting on Thursday nights @ 6:30.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
