The 21st Century is suffering from spiritual starvation. We have cast the realities of biblical language from our vocabulary. Repentance, obedience, sacrifice, iniquities, self-denial, sin, judgment, salvation, rebellion, eternal life, mercy — these (and other) words that describe real human conditions and behaviors have been exited from our lives.
The Bible describes the human condition. Yet, we have chosen the denial of its truths.
Then we wonder why we struggle with misery constantly nipping at our hills. And why the Bible’s concepts of love, joy, and inner peace seem like fantasy.
But is it really any wonder? We’ve thrown down the nourishment supplied in the Bible. Now we stagger in the state of spiritual starvation.
