Don’t Let The Myth Of The Material Make You Miss Life’s Most Meaningful Reality . . .

It would be a shame to go through life caught in the myth of the material and miss out on the most amazing reality on Earth.  Yet many people do.

We think we have “permanent housing” but that is a myth.  Everything in the physical world is temporary.  It will all pass away.  Our bodies and every material thing around us are on their way to demise and/or decay.  “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.”

However, the greatest things in life are non-material — love, justice, consciousness, intelligence, compassion, conscience, reasoning, forgiveness, joy, faith, comprehension, understanding, soul, reflection, mercy, inspiration, peace, thoughts, kindness, our human spirit.

So what is the greatest reality on Earth?  It’s not science which consists of human observation and wisdom; not what we so proudly call “facts.”

The greatest reality is the living God (not religion, or theology, or creed, or church, or the Bible).  God is more real than the air we breathe.  He is like the windshield in our car.  As we drive through our life, we see everything in front of us through God, yet many people don’t even notice His presence in front of them and many deny Him by the way they live and/or with their words.

Don’t miss life’s greatest reality.  Here’s a video of my testimony of how I encountered the living God:

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences in non-traditional church, called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia." If you need encouragement, search for: Elephants Encouraging The Room and/or check out my Amazon author page. Thank you!
